A Historic Home for
a Modern School

Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future

Kneller Hall, a distinguished Grade II listed building in Twickenham, is the historic new home of Radnor House senior school. Originally constructed in the early 18th century by the renowned portrait artist Sir Godfrey Kneller, the Hall carries centuries of cultural and educational significance. Its iconic neo-Jacobean façade, stately architecture, and historic chapel reflect a rich and storied heritage.

In 1857, the estate was repurposed as the Royal Military School of Music, established by the Duke of Cambridge to centralise and elevate military musical training in Britain. For over 160 years, Kneller Hall stood as a hub of musical excellence, playing a vital role in preserving and shaping the UK’s military music traditions.

Following the Ministry of Defence’s decision to sell the estate, Dukes Education acquired Kneller Hall, ensuring that its legacy continues with a new chapter in education. Reimagined as an ambitious co-educational senior school for pupils aged 11 to 18, Kneller Hall now combines tradition with innovation. The school offers state-of-the-art facilities and a forward-thinking curriculum, with music and the arts remaining at its heart—honouring the estate’s artistic past while preparing students for the future.
