A Historic Home for
a Modern School
Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future
Kneller Hall, a distinguished Grade II listed building in Twickenham, is the historic new home of Radnor House senior school. Originally constructed in the early 18th century by the renowned portrait artist Sir Godfrey Kneller, the Hall carries centuries of cultural and educational significance. Its iconic neo-Jacobean façade, stately architecture, and historic chapel reflect a rich and storied heritage.

In 1857, the estate was repurposed as the Royal Military School of Music, established by the Duke of Cambridge to centralise and elevate military musical training in Britain. For over 160 years, Kneller Hall stood as a hub of musical excellence, playing a vital role in preserving and shaping the UK’s military music traditions.
Dukes Education acquired Kneller Hall, ensuring that its legacy continues with a new chapter in education. Reimagined as an ambitious co-educational school for pupils aged 4 to 18, Kneller Hall School now combines tradition with innovation.
