How to join us

Joining Kneller Hall is a straightforward and supportive process. We take time to get to know every child as an individual — their strengths, potential and character — to ensure they will thrive during their time at school.

A Simple Step-by-Step Process 

Your journey begins with a conversation. Get in touch with our Admissions Team or complete our online enquiry form. We’ll guide you through the process and answer any initial questions you have. 

We strongly encourage families to visit the school — either at an Open Day or a personal tour.  This is the best way to experience the school and see our community in action. 

To proceed with an application, you’ll need to complete our online registration form and submit the registration fee.  You will also be asked to provide: 

  • Your child’s most recent school report 
  • Proof of identity (e.g. passport) 
  • Any relevant supporting documents 

(Registration does not guarantee an offer of a place.) 

All applicants are invited to take part in an assessment process. 

  • Year 7 entry includes academic assessment  
  • Occasional places may involve a CAT4 cognitive abilities test 
  • A meeting or interview with a senior member of staff forms part of the process 

Assessments help us understand each child’s academic potential, learning profile and any additional support they might require. 

  • Following the assessment process, we will be in touch to confirm the outcome of your application. 
  • We aim to offer places to pupils who we believe will be happy, engaged and able to make the most of the opportunities at Kneller Hall. 
  • Our Admissions Team is always available to talk through next steps and answer any questions you may have. 

Entry Points 

Year 7 (11+) 
Our main intake, with places available for external applicants each year. 

Sixth Form (Year 12) 
We welcome applications from both internal and external students.
