The skills that will shape future employment

Future readiness requires more than subject knowledge. Kneller Hall School places emphasis on developing the ways of thinking, working and relating to others that help young people respond to change and opportunity.

These capabilities sit alongside academic learning, values and enrichment, preparing pupils for further study, working life and wider society.

Year by Year Careers Education

It is increasingly apparent that universities and employers are not just looking for academic results but also for evidence of wider skills such as critical thinking, clear communication, diplomacy, leadership and teamwork. We therefore offer a wide range of extra-curricular and enrichment sessions to help our pupils develop these so-called ‘soft skills’ in preparation for life beyond school, with careers education being provided for pupils throughout their time at the school.

Please note that the details listed below represent our core careers provision and is supplemented by other activities such as InvestIN workshops and trips. These additional provisions change slightly from year to year depending on need and availability.
