A smart, consistent uniform is a small but meaningful expression of our shared identity as a community. All pupils are expected to wear correct uniform and to take pride in their appearance.
Junior School
Our Junior School uniform is designed to be practical, comfortable and suitable for everyday school life. We keep things simple and flexible, so children feel comfortable and confident throughout the day while maintaining a smart and consistent look across the school.
The uniform consists of:
- A navy school jumper, either the round neck or the V neck style
- A white cotton shirt or blouse
- Grey trousers, shorts or culottes
- Grey socks or tights with black shoes
- A waterproof black coat suitable for outdoor wear
A school bag is optional and can be provided by the school if needed.
Our uniform supplier is Stevensons. Our PE kit provider is Serious Stuff.
Senior School
Full uniform requirements for Years 7 to 13 are set out in the Year Group Information Booklet for your child’s year.
Our uniform supplier is Stevensons, whose Twickenham branch is at 1 to 15 Heath Road, TW1 4DB.
If you have any questions about uniform, please contact the school office.

Booking
All bookings are made online at knellerhallschool.vectare.co.uk. You can book at any time up to two hours before a bus is due to depart, including one off journeys. Changes and cancellations are handled through the My Account section.
For safeguarding reasons pupils may only travel if they have been pre booked for that route and date. A half term’s notice is required to remove a pupil from the service or change between AM and PM.
Shuttles
The Junior Shuttle runs between Teddington Station, Kneller Hall School, Twickenham Station, Twickenham Stadium and Kneller Hall Junior School. It is free of charge and for Junior School pupils only.
The Twickenham Station Shuttle runs between Twickenham Station and Kneller Hall School, with two morning and two afternoon services.
Public transport
Train. Twickenham Station is a thirteen minute walk and Strawberry Hill Station is ten minutes. Both run regular services, with connections to London Waterloo and Clapham Junction.
Bus. Routes 33 and R68 stop directly outside the school. Routes R70, 290, 490, 110, 267, 281 and H22 stop on Heath Road, a five minute walk away.
Walking and cycling. We encourage pupils to walk to school where it is practical. Secure storage for bikes and scooters is available on site. Please note that electric scooters are not permitted.
At Kneller Hall School, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is our highest priority.
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026, we are committed to ensuring that every pupil is safe, supported and able to thrive. We expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share that responsibility. Our approach is strengthened through close partnerships with supporting services and reflects a proactive, whole school commitment to pupil safety and wellbeing.
Our approach includes:
- A strong, whole school culture of safeguarding, with every member of staff, volunteer and visitor understanding their duty to keep children safe
- Regularly reviewed safeguarding and child protection policies, supported by an annual safeguarding audit carried out by the Kingston and Richmond Safeguarding Children Partnership, alongside termly governor oversight
- Clear, robust systems for reporting, recording and responding to concerns swiftly, ensuring early help and timely intervention
- Proactive strategies to protect pupils from contextual, online and emerging risks, supported by our PSHE and RSE curriculum
- Close collaboration with Richmond safeguarding partners, including police liaison teams and local early help services
- A coordinated approach to mental health and wellbeing, involving pastoral teams, counsellors, medical staff and external professionals, so pupils receive the right support at the right time
Operation Encompass
Kneller Hall School is part of Operation Encompass. Our safeguarding team is specially trained to receive and respond to notifications from the Metropolitan Police when a child has been affected by a domestic incident.
