More than A Levels
Sixth Form Co-Curricular
Development doesn’t just happen in classrooms, our Sixth Formers train and learn alongside trained professionals to become their best selves.
Kneller Hall School’s co-curricular programme in the Sixth Form offers our most senior pupils a distinctive range of activities, responsibilities and opportunities to lead. Whether maintaining long standing passions or exploring new directions, Sixth Formers are encouraged to remain curious, engaged and contributory members of the community.

Rising Talents
What Sixth Formers lead
- The School Council, House, Sustainability and Community committees
- Academic societies, many student founded and student run
- Mentoring and coaching of younger pupils across sport, music and academic support
- Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, including the residential element
- The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy pathway through to post-18
Everything a Sixth Former takes on continues to count towards their Kneller Laureate, building the evidenced portfolio they draw on for university applications and beyond.
Strong Body, Clear Mind
Sport
Sport plays a central role in the lives of our Sixth Form students. From competitive fixtures to recreational activities and programmes designed to promote a healthy lifestyle, there is something to suit every interest.
For our competitive sportsmen and sportswomen, we offer a comprehensive fixture list across netball, football, rugby, rowing and cricket alongside recreational options from CrossFit and spinning to tennis and basketball. In addition to their weekly Games afternoon, all squads benefit from lunchtime and after‑school training sessions led by our highly experienced and fully qualified teachers and coaches, including several Olympians and international athletes. Sixth Form squad players also receive timetabled training to help
minimise clashes between academic work and sporting commitments.

Now Introducing..
Performing arts
Music and drama run right through Sixth Form life. Pupils take individual lessons in LAMDA, singing, piano, guitar, drums, strings, brass and woodwind, and join ensembles including choir, senior voices, orchestra, rock band, guitar ensemble and percussion ensemble.
The year has a shape to it. The Senior School Musical at Hampton Hill Theatre, termly concerts including the Christmas Carol Service and a summer concert by the river, and trips to see professional work in the West End and at the Edinburgh Fringe.
“There was never a doubt in my mind that I would stay at Kneller Hall School for Sixth Form.”

Learn From The Best
Networking and speakers
Pupils here do not only read about the work they are considering. They meet the people doing it. Networking evenings put Sixth Formers in a room with professionals from a wide range of fields, informal enough that they can ask the questions that actually matter to them. Our speaker series has brought in survival instructors, sports journalists, Paralympians and local MPs.
The point is not inspiration. It is range. Most sixteen year olds have seen four or five jobs done close up. We would like them to have seen forty before they choose.
