Kneller Hall Junior
Kneller Hall Junior School is a co-educational prep school where children are known, valued and genuinely inspired.

Where curiosity takes root
At Kneller Hall Junior School, we take childhood seriously. These are the years when confidence grows, curiosity takes hold, and a genuine love of learning begins to shape who a child is becoming. Our role is not simply to prepare children for the next stage of school — it is to help them discover who they are.
Every pupil here is known and encouraged. Through a rich, carefully balanced curriculum, specialist teaching, and a strong pastoral community, we nurture the character, creativity and ambition that will carry children forward — into Kneller Hall Senior School and far beyond.
The Junior School is currently based at Kew Foot Road, Richmond, will be relocating to the riverside setting of Pope’s Villa Twickenham in September 2028.
What Makes Us Distinctive
We believe education should light a spark, not just fill a vessel. Children are encouraged to ask questions, think independently and develop a genuine curiosity for the world around them — in every subject, every day.
Small class sizes and an exceptionally warm pastoral community mean every child is seen, encouraged and appropriately challenged. No child falls through the cracks, and no strength goes unnoticed.
Our carefully structured curriculum builds strong academic foundations alongside the confidence, resilience and independence children need. By the time they reach Year 6, our pupils are genuinely ready — for Kneller Hall Senior School and for everything that follows.
Life at Junior School
Life at Kneller Hall Junior School is busy, joyful and full of possibility. Children benefit from specialist teaching in areas including sport, music, art and languages from an early age — building skills and discovering passions that will stay with them for life.
Our co-curricular programme extends well beyond the school day, with a wide range of clubs, activities and experiences designed to broaden horizons and build confidence. Every child is encouraged to try new things, step outside their comfort zone, and find where they shine.
Strong pastoral care runs through everything we do. Every child has a form tutor and a dedicated support network, ensuring that wellbeing and academic progress go hand in hand throughout their Junior School years.

Our New Home
In September 2028, Kneller Hall Junior School will relocate to the historic riverside location of Pope’s Villa, Twickenham.
For Junior School families, this move represents a seamless continuation of the Kneller Hall journey: the same values, the same community, and the same commitment to every child — in a home that will inspire for generations to come.
Come and see it for yourself
